Mit spielerischer Herangehensweise und Liebe zum Textil erkundet Mieke Lucia van den Hout Design mit dem Schwerpunkt auf akustischen Lösungen. Mieke kreiert schallabsorbierende Objekte für Innenräume, die unsere Umgebung ergänzen und die Phantasie anregen.

Mieke Lucia van den Hout (1986) gründete ihr Atelier 2015 nach ihrem Abschluss als Prouktdesignerin an der ArtEZ Kunsthochschule in Arnhem (NL). Ihr Atelier wo fast jeder Quadratmeter Wand von Arbeiten, Experimenten und Materialinspirationen bedeckt ist, zeugt von ihrer Liebe zum Textil. «Ich liebe es, ein Material oder eine Technik mit meinen Händen zu erforschen und intuitiv im Prozess auf meine Erfahrungen zu reagieren.»

Neugierde ist ihr ein steter Begleiter. Virtuos kombiniert sie Handwerk und Industrietechnik. Derzeit begeistert sie sich im Besonderen für eine tragbare Tuftingpistole, die kleine Garnfäden ausspuckt, die es ihr ermöglicht, Grosswandteppiche herzustellen.

With a playful approach and a love of textiles, Mieke Lucia van den Hout Design explores new paths with an emphasis on acoustic solutions. Mieke creates sound-absorbing objects for interiors that complement our surroundings and stimulate the imagination.

Mieke Lucia van den Hout (1986) founded her studio in 2015 after graduating as a product designer at the ArtEZ Art Academy in Arnhem (NL). Her studio, where almost every square meter of wall is covered with works, experiments and material inspirations, testifies to her love of textiles: "I love to explore a material or a technique with my hands and to react intuitively to my experiences in the process".

Curiosity is her constant companion. She combines craftsmanship and industrial technology with virtuosity. She is currently particularly enthusiastic about a portable tufting pistol that spits out small yarn threads, which enables her to produce large wall carpets.
