Mylène Dreyer is interested in playing with the unexpected and in reversing control systems. Disturbance, illusion and manipulation are central tools to create innovative, playful experiences and to connect the virtual and physical space with virtuosity. Her background as an interaction and graphic designer is always evident in her projects.
Scribb
Physical versus virtual space: In Scribb, both the digital and analog positions of the computer mouse must be controlled and combined. To move around, the digital environment can be manipulated with a white note pad and a black pen.
Incontroller
Incontroller plays with what you expect from a controller. With every completed level, the controller becomes more of an opponent and troublemaker: Interactions and sequences are deliberately disturbed, complicated or even blocked. A game experience that makes you pull at your hair.
Spher
Spher plays with geometry and perspective in a space in which the three-dimensional world is hidden behind a two-dimensional one: a minimalist and aesthetic puzzle game. Look carefully to find and combine the hemispheres of the same type so that the playing field never fills up.
Scribb, Spher and Incontroller were created as part of the Bachelor's studies at ECAL/ University of Art and Design Lausanne in Media and Interaction Design.
